How to Scan a Document with Your Phone (No App Needed)
You don't need a dedicated scanner or an app. A phone camera and a browser are enough to produce a clean, readable copy of a paper document.
Scan in a few steps
- Open the Document Scanner on your phone and allow camera access.
- Photograph the document, then review the detected edges.
- Pick a filter — Color, Grayscale or Black & White — and adjust brightness if needed.
- Download the result as PDF, Word, JPG or PNG.
Tips for a sharp scan
Place the page flat on a dark, plain surface so the edges stand out, and use even light without harsh shadows. Hold the phone directly above the page rather than at an angle, and keep it still for a moment before taking the photo.
Black & White works well for text documents; use Color for anything with photos or stamps.
About your privacy
To detect edges and apply the filter, the photo is sent to our server, processed in memory and not stored.
